New Course: Microsoft Windows 10 70-698: Installing and Configuring Windows 10

short

CBT Nuggets trainer Anthony Sequeira released his Microsoft Windows 10 70-698: Installing and Configuring Windows 10 course. Anthony’s new course gives IT pros an in-depth, practical look at Microsoft’s popular Windows 10 product, equipping you for hands-on use as well as preparing you for the Microsoft MCSA: Windows 10 certification. His course features amazing hands-on labs that correlate to specific videos, allowing you to follow along with fully functional Windows operating systems with Anthony, making a dual monitor or tablet and monitor the ideal learning experience.

We asked Anthony about his new course and how learners can get more out of the CBT Nuggets Learning Experience.

Q: Why should companies train their IT professionals in Windows 10? What value does a Windows 10 certification bring?
By the time you read this, Windows 10 should have moved into first place as the most popular desktop operating system in the world, finally taking over the top spot from Windows 7. As a result, technicians must be ready to support this operating system using a robust set of tools that Microsoft provides for security, optimization, and troubleshooting.

Q: From a learner perspective, what did you keep in mind when creating this course?
I wanted to keep this course laser focused on the exam, but also ensure that students have the tools and skills needed in a large enterprise deployment.

Q: Any out-of-the-box tips for learners to get the most out of your course?
This course features hands-on labs! For those Nuggets that have them, I would recommend the learner watch the entire Nugget first, then watch it again following along in the Hands-on Lab.

Q: What’s one real-world application someone can expect to use, thanks to this course?
Support staff are going to be able to troubleshoot issues with Windows 10 systems better than ever before. They will also be able to keep systems running smoothly. Finally, support personnel will feel as if they have more control than ever before over how their systems behave.

Q: What was your favorite Nugget to create?
I think my favorite Nugget was on Storage Spaces. It was so fun to create a Hands-on Lab to coordinate with the video so that students could practice this amazing storage virtualization feature for themselves, without the danger of messing up production equipment.

Q: What’s the one thing you hope learners take away from this training?
That Windows 10 is a very exciting and stable desktop. And that it is very easy to customize for their environment.

Q: What course(s) or certification(s) should learners complete before diving into Windows 10 70-698?
Learners should complete the CompTIA A+ and Network+ training courses to get the most out of this course.

Q: What course(s) or certification(s) should learners look to jump into after they complete Windows 10 70-698?
This course should be followed by the Microsoft Windows 10 70-697: Configuring Windows Devices. I am currently re-creating the course so that we can offer students Hands-on Labs that they can follow along with in their training for the best learning experience possible.

Whats the difference between this course and the one James Conrad produces?

  • Karin Klinger

    Good question, Tim Q!
We have updated our course formats since James first released his course. Anthony’s course employs shorter video durations, virtual labs, embedded quizzes, and supplemental files to improve your CBT Nuggets learning experience.
I hope this helps! Train on, Tim Q!
